Advanced technology, Auris Health’s Monarch™ Platform, exclusively available in this region at Lehigh Valley Health Network, helps diagnose lung cancer sooner, when it’s more treatable.
Early stage lung cancer often has no symptoms. This means people find out they have it when it’s harder to treat and more deadly. The Monarch Platform may help health care providers diagnose lung cancer sooner, saving lives.
While other options can view the inside of the lungs and get a tissue sample to biopsy, this new technology helps health care providers reach worrisome lung spots, called nodules, they previously couldn’t. It gives a health care provider the ability to see deeper into the lung, maintain precise control and use advanced software guidance to perform the biopsy.
As a result, the Monarch Platform may enable earlier and more accurate diagnosis of small and hard-to-reach spots or nodules in the periphery of the lung.

The Monarch Platform for robotic bronchoscopy integrates the latest advancements in robotics, software, data science and endoscopy. Endoscopy is the use of small cameras and tools that enter the body’s cavities through natural openings.
A health care provider uses a hand-held controller, resembling one for video games, to navigate a flexible robotic endoscope into the periphery of the lung with better reach, vision and control than bronchoscopy alone or bronchoscopy with virtual navigation.
Combining traditional endoscopic views into the lung with computer-assisted navigation based on 3D models of a person’s lung anatomy, the Monarch Platform provides continuous bronchoscope vision during the entire procedure.
Talk with your health care provider if you’re a current smoker, or if you’ve smoked in the past, to see if you need to be screened for lung cancer.
