Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Hazleton welcomes Guillermo De La Vega, MD, to its Healthy Beginnings Plus program with a focus on obstetrics. Healthy Beginnings Plus, located at 20 N. Laurel St., helps mothers who are eligible for Medical Assistance to get the expert medical care necessary to have a happy and healthy baby.

Dr. De La Vega earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Nacional Mayor De San Marcos in 1996. He completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at San Bartolome Hospital, Lima, Peru, and at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa. His internship was completed at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center, New York, N.Y., and Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. Dr. De La Vega is a Diplomate, American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG). In addition to providing care at Healthy Beginnings Plus–Hazleton, Dr. De La Vega sees patients at LVPG Obstetrics and Gynecology–Fogelsville and LVPG Obstetrics and Gynecology–Pond Road, Allentown.

Dr. De La Vega is part of the Healthy Beginnings Plus health care team to include Jennifer Ruch, CNM, registered nurse midwife, Julianna Graninetti, PA-C, nurse care coordinators, registered dietitians and social workers.
