New Cardiologists Boost Heart and Vascular Institute Ranks

Seven additional doctors improve access to care, expertise

Lehigh Valley Heart and Vascular Institute recently added seven cardiologists, providing more access to people looking for clinicians in the high-demand specialty.

“Part of our mission of providing world-class cardiac care is making sure that care is more available to those seeking it,” says Eric Elgin, MD, Chief, Division of Cardiology, Lehigh Valley Heart and Vascular Institute. “These additional doctors not only provide that added capacity, but also the expertise people so rightly expect from the Heart and Vascular Institute.”

Joining the Heart and Vascular Institute recently were:

Dr. Anuwatworn: Non-invasive cardiology team at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest; special interest in cardiovascular imaging.

Dr. Bennett: Non-invasive cardiology; Director of Inpatient Cardiac Services; dual certification in cardiovascular disease and critical care.

Dr. Gulati: Non-invasive cardiology; recent cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Salem: Interventional cardiology; Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Muhlenberg catheterization lab.

Dr. Saxena: Electrophysiology team at LVH–Muhlenberg; recent clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at University of Virginia Hospital.

Dr. Secheresiu: Returning to LVHN after interventional cardiology fellowship at Hershey Medical Center.

Dr. Wand: Non-invasive cardiology at LVH–Cedar Crest; recent fellowship at Johns Hopkins.
