Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) offers two administrative fellowship programs designed to provide an educational environment and an experience that will contribute to your growth and development as a quality health care professional.
It’s our mission to ensure our fellows:
- Become strong leaders for LVHN and the greater health care industry
- Understand LVHN’s philosophy, mission, vision and operation
- Gain coaching, learning and mentoring from senior-level executives
- Define and shape personal and career goals
- Develop management skills through interim roles in areas such as inpatient unit, clinical practice or specialized service
As an administrative fellow, you will gain exposure to clinical and operational departments so you can apply the knowledge, skills and abilities you’ve learned in the classroom in a practical work setting while gaining real management experience.
The David Joseph Administrative Fellowship is a one-year program that is designed to provide an opportunity to learn about hospital operations through structured rotations, project work and an immersive leadership experience. During the program, fellows gain an in-depth understanding of hospital operations across LVHN. Additionally, fellows are exposed to senior management meetings, committees and other network-wide functions according to their interests and developmental needs.
The Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG) Administrative Fellowship is a one-year program that is designed to provide an opportunity to learn about medical group operations and leadership through structured rotations. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate and engage in a variety of projects focused on the administration of physician practice groups. LVPG is among the largest medical groups in the United States. More than 1,000 physicians and more than 600 advanced practice clinicians represent 59 medical specialties in more than 250 practice sites in the Lehigh Valley region.

Exceptional nursing. Our nurses stand out among the best in the world. Only 9.6% of hospitals in the nation hold this honor, and we are the only Magnet hospital in the Lehigh Valley.
Personalized training. Fellows establish one-on-one mentorship with senior leadership in core departments such as operations, human resources, finance, supply chain management, ambulatory services and patient care services.
Nationally recognized. Lehigh Valley Health Network is a founding member of the National Council on Administrative Fellowships.
