About Our Family Birth and Newborn Centers

The Family Birth and Newborn Centers at LVH–Hazleton and LVH–Pocono are beautiful, secure maternity units that offer a variety of accommodations to ensure the comfort, safety and security of our patients. With an experienced and supportive care team, we’re prepared to ease your worries and assist in your joyous birthing experience. Our Family Birth and Newborn Centers feature:

  • Private labor and delivery rooms
  • Postpartum suites, which include private bathrooms and plenty of storage to help you feel at home during your stay
  • Large nurseries
  • Cesarean birth suites, which include an operating and recovery room, so cesarean section deliveries can be performed within the security of the unit

At the Family Birth and Newborn Center at LVH–Pocono, there is also a Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) where we care for babies who are born prematurely, experience difficulties during delivery or show signs of medical complications, as well as infants who have critical illnesses.
