About

Philosophy of care

I want patients to participate in decision-making for their care plans. I believe the best treatments and outcomes are achieved only when tailored to each patient's individual condition, priorities and needs. I will do all I can to help my patients safely get the birthing experience they desire.

Why I entered medicine

I have been fascinated by human physiology since I was a neuroscience major in college. That fascination, coupled with my desire to work with people, led me to medicine. Helping patients deliver their babies and being a part of the best day of their lives is what makes me cherish my career choice.

Community involvement

I volunteer at my kids' school when I can. I am a regular blood and platelet donor.

Personal interests

My favorite activity is spending time with my husband, son and daughter. I love anything outdoors: running, biking, hiking, sledding. I also love to read historical fiction and am an avid baker.
