About

Philosophy of care

I treat each patient with compassion, respect and kindness to help them feel secure. Comfort measures are important in the treatment of each person I encounter.

Why I entered medicine

I’ve always been a caregiver; I don’t know any other way to be. If anyone has ever needed me, I’ve run to help. Doing nursing anesthesia is the best way to accomplish my goal in medicine.

Community involvement

I live on a farm in the community, so there’s always something to do. It may be bailing hay to help a neighbor or mowing the field – whatever turns up, I’m there. I do for others before I do for myself.

Personal interests

I love to work outside. I create artwork in many mediums, as I have from childhood. Those mediums include stained glass, oil and pastels. I’ve even worked in the medium of charcoal portraits.
