Raised in Queens, NY, Shoba attended the City University of New York- Hunter College, she graduated with a B.A in Psychology.  She advanced her education at St. John’s University and completed her M.S in Pharmacology.  After completing her degree, she worked as a scribe at CityMD Urgent Care Center in NYC which solidified her desire to pursue a career in medicine.  In addition to her life experiences, her passion for medicine led her to attend Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, NM.  Shoba’s interests in Family Medicine include behavioral health, geriatric medicine, preventative medicine, and women’s health.  During her leisure time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, baking, theatre, watching movies, painting, traveling, and trying new cuisines.
