Summer Intern Program
Our Summer Intern Program provides college-age students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year an immersive internship experience. For eight weeks, an intern will join a department at LVHN, from informatics to marketing and beyond, to learn, network and gain valuable real-world experience at the region’s health care provider of choice.
Research Scholar Program

Provide support services to meet patient environmental needs such as patient transport, stocking and distribution, material transport, equipment and supply maintenance.
Perform a variety of tasks and services in the preparation, distribution and serving of food.
Assist all visitors and patients in a professional, friendly and responsive manner when they arrive and depart the hospital campuses.
Perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient care and non-patient care areas.
Assist pharmacists in performing technical duties related to the distribution of drugs to patients.
Performs inventory, cleaning and replenishing equipment and supplies and identify equipment due for preventive maintenance and place work orders for repair.
Handle the cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, packaging and processing of surgical instruments and devices in accordance with prescribed procedures and techniques.
Ensure efficiency of all supply locations through replenishing, monitoring supply levels and/or organizing work areas.
Assist with the production and distribution of food and non-food items to the patients of the facility.
Consider administrative roles, such as clerk typist, scheduling coordinator, patient services representative and more.
Responsible for all aspects of cash handling, reconciliation, deposits, safe funds and change bank.
Greet people and handle administrative duties for the fitness centers at LVHN facilities.
Coordinate all aspects of patient registration, insurance verification and scheduling of patients accurately.
Coordinate all patient scheduling activities including appointments, procedures and exams for multiple hospital, physician practice, outpatient departments, modalities and facilities.
Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and health care providers within the practice.
Conduct patient interviews by phone and in person for the purpose of establishing an account by gathering demographic, insurance and clinical information to ensure appropriate patient scheduling and optimal financial clearance.
Support the day-to-day administrative and operational needs, while contributing to top-quality patient care.
