Movement disorders are a group of neurological diseases and syndromes affecting the ability to produce and control movement. These conditions can affect the brain, spinal cord and nerves throughout the body. Together, they control all of the workings of the body including breathing, mood, speaking, learning, swallowing, walking, moving and seeing.
