About
Philosophy of care
As an anatomic pathologist my goal is to provide the best care to you and to help doctors appropriately manage your care. I do this by providing accurate and concise diagnoses in a timely manner.
Why I entered medicine
As a young child I was enamored by my pediatrician and at an early age decided I wanted to be a physician. I also have always had a passion for science and biology and always knew I would pursue a medical career. So, the question for me became, what type of physician would I choose to be? I chose pathology because it allows me to study the disease process and the mechanisms of disease. I have always loved puzzles and I feel like pathology allows me to put together multiple pieces and form a final diagnosis. This final diagnosis becomes an integral part of a patient's care and treatment. By providing this valuable information we become consultants to other physicians and help determine what the next steps are in a patient's clinical management.
