Philosophy of care

My philosophy focuses on preventive care and evidence-based medicine. I believe in working as a team to create healthy and realistic habits that can be carried into adulthood. I strive to create a supportive partnership where open communication and shared decision-making empower adolescents. Let’s work hand-in-hand to ensure the best care and a foundation for your child's lifelong health and happiness.

Why I entered medicine

Since childhood I have had a strong sense of fairness and an urge to help those in need. Later I became obsessed with science and the human body. Those interests translated into a passion for health equity and lifelong learning as an adult. Now, I love what I do as a nurse practitioner.

Community involvement

I loved volunteering for an educational program for new mothers and would love to do something like that again. I also enjoy volunteering at animal rescues, even though I'm having a hard time convincing my husband to bring home a foster dog.

Personal interests

I enjoy staying active through yoga, climbing, skiing and cycling. But you can also find me relaxing with a book from my endless "to-read list" or playing with my two dogs.
