About
Philosophy of care
I provide patient and family education as the groundwork for informed choices leading to outstanding care and outcomes.
Why I entered medicine
I entered medicine not only to save lives, but also to improve the quality and extent of life. Cardiothoracic surgery encompasses all organ systems working in concert. It is this detailed anatomy and physiology that still intrigues me.
Community involvement
I have a strong commitment to health and wellness. I am a speaker for the American Heart Association and promote wellness internationally with a focus on local communities.
Personal interests
I love the outdoors, particularly hiking, biking and skating. My favorite sport is fishing, which began as a young child with my family in the Poconos. I have two beautiful daughters.
