Philosophy of care

I consider it a privilege that patients and their families are willing to open up to me and share intimate details about their life. I know that can sometimes be difficult. That is why I listen closely and give patients and families my undivided attention.

Why I entered medicine

I’ve always loved science and math. My mom was a nurse in an intensive care unit. I volunteered in the hospital and had the opportunity to follow my mom during work. I noticed how she was always thinking and worrying about her patients. It intrigued me, and now I think about the same things she did.

Personal interests

When I’m not working, my two kids take over my life. I spend a lot of time at baseball games and piano lessons. But I love it. Being a mom has changed the way I look at things and helped me become a better doctor.
