About

Philosophy of care

I strongly believe in keeping patients well-informed about what is happening, updates or pending results, and tentative plans or barriers regarding their discharge. Open communication among patients, their families and their care team is key to patient care. Prior to hospital medicine, I worked in critical care and post-acute rehabilitative medicine.

Why I entered medicine

Growing up in a Filipino-American environment, I was immersed in various aspects of the health care world. As the eldest child and only daughter, I found myself gravitating toward nurturing others and helping them achieve their best. Being a provider allows me the opportunity for critical thinking, problem-solving and helping people get back on their feet.

Community involvement

As a hobby baker, I am always looking for opportunities to donate baked goods, especially for local organizations and charitable events.

Personal interests

I love catching up with family and friends. My husband is also a health care clinician, so we try to make the most of our time together by seeing movies, taking day trips, etc. Even though I was raised Filipino-American, I have always loved Latin music and culture. We look forward to more travel opportunities in the future.
