About

Philosophy of care

I try to remember what is like to be the one sitting on the exam table with the anxiety, questions or worries and I try my best to address these concerns before the end of our visit.  My goal is to discuss the treatment process so our patients and their families, understand what to expect along the way.

Why I entered medicine

Orthopedics has always been an interest for me.  My after-school job in high school, was working in an orthopedic office where I filed charts and Xray films (I'm dating myself).  I pursued a career as a commercial interior designer, working often in health care settings, for 12 years before applying for PA School.  I decided to make the change, so I could try and positively impact people's lives.

Personal interests

I enjoy staying active, whether it is endurance sports (17 full marathons completed, along with a few triathlons - including a Full Ironman in 2009) or going to a small family-based Crossfit gym within walking distance of my house.  I am a vintage dealer at two local antique malls, specializing in Mid Century Modern wares.  I enjoy spending time with my husband, two bulldog girls and two cats.
