About

Philosophy of care

I will provide anesthesia care with empathy unique to each individual patient. I will focus on details in all aspects of your care (or your loved one’s care), including physical and emotional ones. I will also apply my professional and educational experience to provide anesthesia services to the best of my ability, and strive for excellence every day, while respecting your culture and privacy.

Why I entered medicine

I started out as an orderly and an anesthesia technician, right after high school, in a small community hospital. I began in small ways to be involved in patient care, like patient transport, and immediately became inspired caring for patients. It was a crazy 'IT' moment where I knew there was nothing else I wanted to do but provide great patient care! I felt good learning new things everyday related to surgery and anesthesia, and never looked back.

Community involvement

Encouraging my son by getting him to do summer volunteer work at a community hospital last summer. He worked in the OR helping with supplies and patient transport.

For my church, I am involved in many ways to support my local Presbyterian church through local charity golf outings.

I am also active helping raise funds for my my daughter's field hockey team and my son's basketball team through various events including car washes.

Personal interests

My family is a big focus of my life. My son is on the Emmaus varsity basketball team, and over the years I have worked with him on his basketball skills. My daughter is also a field hockey player, and I have done the same working with her to build her skills.

I am a fitness buff and enjoy playing golf and lifting weights to help me stay in shape.

I also like being outside whenever I can, including taking care of my yard.

Another personal interest is staying current in my profession. I enjoy reading anesthesia journals and maintaining my continuing educating credits.
