About
Philosophy of care
I believe in treating patients as family, putting their best health interests first. I like to include their family in the decision-making and collaboratively come up with a treatment plan. I listen and empathize with patients and their family to get a full picture of what’s going on. I am passionate about my patients to give them the best chance of success and healing. I want you to know your loved one is being well taken care of.
Why I entered medicine
I became a nurse because of how nurses treated me during my first pregnancy. They were loving and caring and made me feel so comfortable during a vulnerable time. During my training, I spent time in a neonatal intensive care unit and fell in love with it immediately. It was so rewarding seeing these tiny little babies grow strong each day and then going home to their parents. I watched the nurses love these babies like they were their own children and develop such wonderful relationships with their parents. I still practice in the NICU as an RN, even though I am now a pediatric nurse practitioner. My passion and love will always be babies. They are what gives me the love and joy for health care that makes me want to continue to learn and better my career.
Personal interests
Outside of work, I love to spend time with my husband and three beautiful children. I also enjoy the beach, exercising, time with friends, traveling and relaxing at home.
