About

Philosophy of care

My role is to care for patients during periods of critical illness. I use a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to provide treatment. I believe restoration of health is a journey, and endeavor to match an individual's care to their personal values.

Why I entered medicine

A career in medicine, and critical care anesthesiology in particular, offers a dynamic opportunity to help patients and families at their greatest time of need, a time when they may be most vulnerable. I consider it an honor to use my skill set in service to the restoration of one of our greatest gifts – our health.

Community involvement

I mentor several students interested in developing a career in medicine. I also dedicate resources to support a philanthropic and scholarship fund in honor of my mother.

Personal interests

When away from my clinical duties, I enjoy travel, music and amazing food – preferably all at once!
