About

Philosophy of care

My parents instilled in me the importance of treating and caring for others as I would like to be treated and cared for. This principle has become a core part of who I am. The patient-physician relationship is a partnership built on trust, respect and care. Just as I expect the best for my family, I strive to provide nothing less for you as my patient. Using evidence-based medicine, I guide and partner with you to choose your best options and support your decisions.

Why I entered medicine

I was inspired by the selfless commitment of physicians who tirelessly helped society during a major earthquake in India in 2001. My curiosity about the "why" and "how" of medicine led me to applied physiology and eventually internal medicine. During my residency, I found great satisfaction in caring for the sickest patients in the ICU and witnessing their recovery. So I specialized in pulmonary critical care and neurocritical care.

Personal interests

I practice yoga and exercise. I enjoy bicycling with my son and playing with my kids. Grocery shopping and cooking with my wife are also some of my favorite activities, along with traveling and trying different cuisines with my family.
