About
Philosophy of care
As a mom who has been on the patient side before, I know how important it is to feel a connection with your child's clinician. I strive to be a patient advocate by listening to families and collaborating with caregivers. My goal is for families to walk away feeling empowered, knowledgeable and with a better understanding of their child's health through education and teaching.
Why I entered medicine
I honestly feel this field chose me. I knew my strengths included being present for other people and helping when others were in need, but didn't know how far that would take me. As a pediatric bedside nurse for many years, I have learned I can provide emotional and mental support to children and their families – support that’s directly related to physical health. Being a pediatric nurse has given me some of the most rewarding moments in my life.
Community involvement
I have helped at the LVHN drive-thru flu shot clinic at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, as well as with charity donations and collections, especially for women and children.
Personal interests
I love to travel and add stamps to my passport. I also enjoy time with my kids and two dogs, Pickles and Tuna. Growing up in a large family keeps things fun; there's never a dull moment. I also like pineapple on my pizza, paranormal podcasts and Latin food!
