About

Philosophy of care

My philosophy of care is based on collaboration between the patient and provider. You are a unique individual with your own set of values and history through which you see your own health. Understanding this allows me to better treat your health concerns, and in turn leads to better satisfaction.

Why I entered medicine

My father, Richard Russell, DO, has been a family care physician in Pine Grove, Pa., for 43 years. I grew up watching the positive impact he had on his patients and on the community. Medicine is an ever-changing field with different challenges and new rewards encountered every day, making it an exciting profession. I am fortunate enough to practice medicine and share an office with my dad.

Personal interests

I enjoy golfing, traveling and following Penn State and Philadelphia sports teams.
