About

Philosophy of care

In the field of urogynecology many conditions can significantly affect a patient’s quality of life. Issues such as pelvic organ prolapse or urinary incontinence can cause meaningful distress, and I believe it is important to offer care for them. I truly enjoy helping women get back to the activities and personal interests these conditions may have been preventing. By educating, counseling and treating my patients, I provide them care at the highest level with the comfort of a trustworthy physician.

Why I entered medicine

My life prior to medical school was focused on athletics. I played competitive basketball until college and experienced many injuries and even surgeries of my own. I always knew I wanted to become a doctor, and in dealing with these injuries I became fascinated by the technical skills and hand-eye coordination required to be a surgeon. As I progressed through medical school and my residency training, I also developed a passion for caring for women, likely stemming from many years of working with my teammates and females of all backgrounds. Urogynecology, or female pelvic reconstructive surgery, is a highly rewarding field that allows me to develop relationships with the women in our community while being able to offer them optimal care in the office or the operating room.

Community involvement

Aside from medicine, I still enjoy being involved in athletics and helping our local community. In 2021, I joined the advisory board of Philadelphia Rise, an elite youth Nike basketball league. I was also honored to be a part of “Dream Big,” an event sponsored by the Mike Pettine Foundation in Doylestown that focuses on guiding teens and young adults through obstacles as they head into their future careers.

Personal interests

Outside of work, I enjoy being active and spending time with my growing family. We love to be outdoors, at parks, in our backyard or at the beach. Fitness is also a big part of my life, and I enjoy maintaining an active lifestyle, including running and Pilates.
