About

Philosophy of care

My vision as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner is to provide you safe, holistic, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice. It involves building an alliance among you, your family, me and the mental health team. Your individualized care will encompass empathy, autonomy, empowerment and education to best meet your needs.

Why I entered medicine

I have been helping people since childhood. My goal was to see people happy and doing well. I noted the changes and the appreciation just by listening, educating, guiding and assisting people in need. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I will work on decreasing the stigma of mental health through empathy, education, and providing you autonomy to work on your health and psychosocial needs.

Community involvement

I have educated student nurses. I also have volunteered at Relay for Life with DeSales University.

Personal interests

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and relaxing. I have a general enthusiasm about reading and learning that will assist me to grow professionally and personally.
