About
Philosophy of care
CLUE represents the basis of my philosophy as a CRNP. Caring for the patient and their families. Listening to the patient’s concerns. Understanding what the patient’s presenting problems are. Engage the patient in the plan of care so they understand and are fully involved in their care. It is very important to understand and treat the patient as a whole, not just focus on their presenting problem.
Why I entered medicine
I had wanted to be a nurse since the age of 5, and have had the satisfaction of being one for over 18 years. Nursing has been a very rewarding profession that I am very proud to be part of. As a provider being a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner builds on caring which the essence of nursing. A philosophy of caring guides CRNP interactions with patients, families, and communities.
Community involvement
I participate with the Pennsylvania American Coalition of Nurse Practitioners as well as American Association of Nurse Practitioners so my voice can be heard. It is important for the public and healthcare community to be educated on the role of nurse practitioners and recognize the impact the nurse practitioner has on the community and is an essential part of the healthcare team.
I am also involved my sons' little league organization and our home and school association.
Personal interests
I am a proud mother of two amazing boys who keep me busy with baseball games and swim lessons. I love reading, relaxing, and spending time with my husband, children, family and friends.
