About
Philosophy of care
My goal is to provide the best care possible to you and other patients in need.
Why I entered medicine
Since age 4, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. As a child growing up in Avoca, I idolized my father, Bill Blomain, MD, a family practitioner. I often accompanied him on house calls. It’s like I was imprinted with medicine. I’ve known richer doctors, smarter doctors and more famous doctors, but no one who cared more about his patients than my father. He loved his patients and they loved him. I strive to be like that.
Community involvement
I teach and proctor several medical students. I also will take on high school and college students who are considering medicine. I donate to several charities. I also participate in Race for the Cure, with a donation and table set up every year to support all of those affected by breast cancer − and in particular patients of mine.
Personal interests
Most of all I love spending free time with my family. I also enjoy boating. Medicine is a personal interest of mine as well, because I truly feel I have not worked a day in my life. I love what I do.
