About

Philosophy of care

My philosophy of care is rooted in evidence-based practice, collaboration, education and respect. I am dedicated to providing accurate diagnoses and supporting my colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients. I stay at the forefront of medical advancements, and never forget that behind every specimen is a person.

Why I entered medicine

From a young age, I was captivated by the intricacies of the human body and the science behind its function. I was curious about how diseases affect our health and fascinated by the ability of medicine to restore wellness. During college I volunteered at clinics and hospitals and was moved by the resilience of patients and the dedication of their medical teams. I realized medicine is not just about treating illnesses, but also about supporting patients emotionally and being a steady source of hope and comfort. Medicine combines my passion for science with my desire to serve humanity, a field where compassion meets innovation and where every day presents a chance to make a meaningful impact. I am grateful to be part of a profession dedicated to healing, learning and caring.

Community involvement

As a physician couple originally from Karachi, Pakistan, my wife and I are deeply committed to serving diverse communities and contributing to their well-being. By working with underserved communities, we aim to provide equitable health care. We have been involved in such charitable initiatives as free health check-ups and treatments.

Personal interests

My 3-month-old daughter is now the center of my attention and brings immense joy and fulfillment. Watching her grow is incredibly rewarding. Also, I am an avid reader with a particular interest in medical literature, productivity and personal development. Journaling on how to optimize efficiency is a passion of mine and helps me stay organized and focused. I love spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking, biking or simply exploring nature. Being in the fresh air and staying active is essential for my physical and mental well-being.
