About
Philosophy of care
One of the most important aspects of health care is helping individuals facing challenges. I believe no challenge is too big for us to resolve. I offer you as my patient compassion, determination and leadership in achieving the best care and outcome for you as an individual. Working together as a team through conviction, communication and education we will reveal normalcy.
Why I entered medicine
Sometimes your profession finds you! Nursing has been my life’s most rewarding challenge and my most gratifying experience. Nursing combines compassion, determination, leadership and sacrifice. My career started more than 25 years ago, yet I am as excited today as I was then for my new chapter as nurse practitioner. My focus is on a field that lacks resources – wound and ostomy care.
Community involvement
I started the Ostomy Support Group of the Poconos, and monthly we discuss and create awareness for people who live with ostomies. Annually, I organize a 5K Walk/Run in support of ostomy awareness. I also volunteer at East Stroudsburg University and Northampton Community College to educate young and eager new nurses on wound and ostomy care.
Personal interests
I love gardening (flowers and vegetables). I enjoy traveling and camping with my children and grandchildren. I am a do-it-yourselfer who enjoys house projects.
