About

Philosophy of care

I believe in collaboration, especially when caring for a pediatric patient. I like working with the parents and the patient toward the best outcome. I want families to feel comfortable coming to me with questions so we can arrive at a solution together. I love teaching and empowering parents and patients to take an active role in their health.

Why I entered medicine

I knew at an early age I wanted a medical career. I've always enjoyed taking care of people, supporting them through difficult times and celebrating their success. I have always loved working with children. I find their resilience and eagerness to learn and grow so inspiring and cannot imagine my nursing career taking a different path. Ten years as a bedside pediatric nurse only further encouraged my decision to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Personal interests

I enjoy spending free time with my family, whether traveling or being outdoors, or attending a concert or a sporting event, or simply trying something new. To unwind I love to dive into a good book, go for a long run or challenge myself on the Peloton.
