About
Philosophy of care
I strive with every patient interaction to act with compassion, treating each patient and their family with dignity, while respecting and valuing diversity. I love what I do.
Why I entered medicine
My grandfather was a Philadelphia firefighter. As a kid, I remember him reminiscing about challenging assignments and I could feel his personal joy after a successful outcome. I think his shared experience is at the root of my desire to be there to help people in need. At 15, I was finally able to join a volunteer ambulance squad and was hooked immediately. As I moved through the ranks to assistant chief, it became clear I was destined to pursue a career in medicine.
Personal interests
I love to travel and have been to over 40 countries so far. While traveling we make the effort to find ways to help improve the lives of underprivileged locals. My e-bike has flattened the hills and made me a cyclist. Closer to home I enjoy quality time with family, friends and our cats.
