About
Philosophy of care
I am committed to providing care that prioritizes patient safety, comfort and overall well-being. Doing that requires a collaborative approach, with the patient at the center of the team. Working alongside my fellow physicians, nurses and other health care professionals, I aim to address your needs, alleviate your anxiety and ensure you a comfortable and reassuring experience.
Why I entered medicine
I have always had a deep desire to make a positive impact on people's lives and contribute to the well-being of others. After witnessing the compassionate care provided by physicians during my grandmother’s prolonged illness, it became clear to me the medical field was the way I could make a meaningful contribution to the world while merging my passion for science and technology.
Community involvement
I have organized and participated in a medical mission to Ghana, coordinated the collection and shipment of substantial quantities of medical equipment to developing nations, and orchestrated multiple community health fairs. I volunteer on the boards of both the Association of American Medical Colleges and Harrisburg Area Community College. I have established a nonprofit organization, Advancing Health Equity and Diversity (AHEAD), with the mission of helping high school and college students from underprivileged backgrounds pursue careers in the health care field.
Personal interests
Apart from cherishing moments with my family and losing myself for hours in my gardens, I am an avid reader and an aspiring writer.
