About
Philosophy of care
As a nurse practitioner, I'll bring my experiences as a cardiac bedside nurse into my daily practice. Nurses are known to truly listen to what the patient is saying, but also to what they're not saying. My philosophy of care is to approach every patient encounter with an open mind and heart, so you know I am on your health care team and will work with you to provide and promote a better quality of life.
Why I entered medicine
I entered the medical field because I thoroughly enjoy helping people. My sister is a physician, and my aunts and grandmother were nurses. Listening to their medical stories – whether triumphant or tragic – always intrigued me. As a bedside nurse I have cared for people overcoming near-death experiences or held their hand during their last breath; I have learned so much. It is truly an honor to witness someone living an enjoyable, healthier life because of something I might have done.
Community involvement
I have volunteered at LVHN drive-thru flu shot clinics and also at a local food pantry.
Personal interests
My personal interests include sports, the outdoors and anything with nature. I also love to travel and experience new things.
