About
Philosophy of care
My philosophy of care is to treat every aspect of a child's health, including their physical and mental health. I rely on parents and families to help relay information about their children because they are the ones who know them best. I will always do my best to listen to concerns and answer questions you may have. My goal is to help every child recognize and strive for their full potential, and support their development to become competent, confident and productive teens and young adults.
Why I entered medicine
I grew up inspired by my mother taking care of patients as a nurse and always knew the medical field and helping people was for me. I chose pediatrics specifically because children are a constant source of inspiration. They show their strength and resilience every day, which everybody can learn from. From a broken bone to a chronic medical issue to an acute illness, children always have the best outlook and positivity despite their circumstances. There is no better feeling and honor than watching a child grow up and being able to be a part of their life.
Community involvement
I love volunteering and giving back to the community. I have actively supported Ronald McDonald House Charities for 10+ years. I have volunteered at several summer camps for children with chronic medical conditions, including spina bifida. I love volunteering at the annual LVHN flu drive as well!
Personal interests
I enjoy spending time with my family and our two dogs. We love to travel and explore new places. We love trying new restaurants, farmer's markets and parks around the Lehigh Valley. I also enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee and a good book!

Comments
"Dr Barndt is wonderful with all of my girls. When it looked like my daughter had fallen off her growth curve for height, she took the time to remeasure her herself during the visit (babies are wiggly and my daughter was moving around while trying to get it the first time) and we were reassured she was right where she needed to be. The MA that rooms us is wonderful and always friendly, making the experience good for my kids, and the nurse that does the immunizations is quick and efficient which helps so much to get through them."
"Dr. Barndt listened to my concerns and helped us with a solution right away"
"Staff and Dr were all wonderful. They answered all of our questions and made sure all paperwork for labs was correct."
