About
Philosophy of care
My goal is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel heard and that their concerns are addressed. I adopt a collaborative approach to decision-making, ensuring patients understand their condition and all available treatment options. I strive to meet patients where they are, assisting them in achieving their goals, and offering support throughout the entire process.
Why I entered medicine
I wanted a career that combines helping others with continuous learning. Optometry allows me to build meaningful connections with patients over time while improving their quality of life through their vision.
Community involvement
In college, I helped run a volunteer program at a nursing home for Alzheimer’s patients. I also met regularly with international students to help them with their conversational English. In optometry school, I volunteered with Special Olympics’ Opening Eyes. I hope in the future to go on a mission trip to provide eye care to underserved areas.
Personal interests
I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, trying out new restaurants, reading and working out.
