About
Philosophy of care
I believe that if you spend enough time with a patient, they will tell you exactly what is wrong with them and how to fix it. It is our job as health care providers to take the time to listen and then apply our skills and knowledge. You have my attention.
Why I entered medicine
I enjoy the fact one can never know all there is to know. Every encounter with a patient has the possibility of being a learning experience. I also enjoy the "team" aspect of medicine, particularly surgery. Every person on that team can make a difference, whether through technical skills or simply providing encouragement or comfort when a patient needs it most.
Personal interests
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two children and husband. We especially look forward to our yearly trip to Topsail Island, N.C., with my parents, siblings and their families. I also enjoy reading and scrapbooking.

"Dr Kelsey is extraordinary. I recommend this hospital to everyone. From valet, to reception, to nurses and above all Dr. Kelsey are absolutely fantastic. The hospital is always spotless. The team is thorough, thoughtful and kind. I feel respected and well cared for. I can't thank this staff and hospital enough for everything over the last two years. I am grateful for such a supportive and fabulous team."
"Please change nothing. Dr Kelsey and her helpers are the best. They know I have bad anxiety and they talk to me to try to keep me calm. Thank you all"
