About

Philosophy of care

My philosophy is to care for you and your family as I would want my family cared for. I do that by listening, understanding and providing compassionate, efficient and excellent emergency care. I am honored to serve our community each day by offering the best care and treatments available.

Why I entered medicine

I am the youngest of five children and grew up in a family of nurses. I was inspired at a young age to strive for the privilege of caring for others. I entered medicine to try to help one person at a time, hoping it may have a lasting effect on their quality of life. I am grateful to meet each patient, learn their story and affect their life in some small way. I also am intrigued by the potential to help save someone's life. That’s why I chose emergency medicine as a specialty.

Community involvement

I am the fortunate wife of a great man and mom to four amazing boys. I love to volunteer at our church and the boys' schools. My husband and I sponsor several children in foreign countries. I contribute to events that support the formation of women's faith and well-being. We contribute to veterans’ funds as well as local mission services. Our family has helped the Friends of the Poor and worked with Family to Family and Catholic Social Services.

Personal interests

I devote free time to faith formation, fitness, running and CrossFit. I also enjoy helping out with youth sports, including cross country, basketball and baseball. I am a veteran, proud to have served in the U.S. Air Force. I enjoy playing the piano, spending time with family and friends, traveling when possible, and hiking. I also enjoy gardening and yard work.
