About
Philosophy of care
I believe in a comprehensive approach to managing chronic pain. It is important to address the physical, social and psychological components of your health to deliver the best care. I will work with you on a treatment strategy that maximizes your pain relief and overall function.
Why I entered medicine
From a young age I was interested in learning about the human body and sought opportunities in high school and college to explore various health care fields. I ultimately found my calling in anesthesiology and pain medicine. It is a privilege to work with patients and improve their quality of life. Pain medicine is a field full of innovation, and I enjoy learning about and using the latest technology to provide the best care possible.
Personal interests
I love to spend free time with my family. I enjoy traveling and the arts. I stay active by spinning, skiing and hiking.

Comments
"My doctor, Dr. Laura Deschamps, she's a really good doctor. She listens well, and all the staff are very nice and kind if you have a problem. They help you. You get into the office pretty quick. The rooms are always nice and clean. I've never had a problem with that office, and I'm grateful for Dr. Laura. She's really been a blessing, helping me dealing with my nerve damage, with the pain meds. And I've been with Lehigh Valley for a long, long time, so I just want to say good job. Thank you."
"Very knowledgeable and polite"
"Dr. Deschamps explained everything very well to me a course of action she will take and gave me a different medication to see if that helps with the pain. I enjoyed visiting with her. She's very down to earth and explains everything fully."
