About
Philosophy of care
I provide compassionate, effective, efficient and informative care to all my patients and their families. I strive to treat and inform every patient the way I would want to be treated in their situation.
Why I entered medicine
I entered the field at a young age, becoming an emergency medical services (EMS) member out of high school. It was humbling to be in situations where someone was looking to me for help, and prompted me to further my education so I could provide the best care. The continuation of learning in this field, because of its ever-changing treatments and surgical approaches, intrigues me, humbles me and, most importantly, fuels that drive to be my best for my patients.
Community involvement
I continue to help with EMS as a pre-hospital physician extender for my community. I am also a fire fighter/rescue technician for my local fire company, where I am a lieutenant for the Heavy Rescue/Technical Rescue Team. I volunteer to help coach my local high school baseball team.
Personal interests
My wife and I love to be outdoors: hunting, fishing and hiking. I can also be found drawing and painting when time allows. Staying active is important to us by CrossFit, running, or simply walking our dogs, Pudge and Norman!
