About
Philosophy of care
Because various types of dementia can impact the entire family, I consider the entire family unit as I approach diagnosis and management of the disease. I have been the principal investigator in many studies attempting to find new treatments for Alzheimer's, the most common form of dementia, because of the importance of finding a medication that truly modifies its course.
Why I entered medicine
I studied medicine to make a difference in the quality of health care delivered. I specifically was interested in the care of older adults.
Community involvement
I am active at church and support Meals on Wheels.
Personal interests
My family is my priority. I also spend free time doing fresh and saltwater fishing, landscape photography and traveling.
