About

Philosophy of care

My role as a nurse anesthetist is providing you safe high-quality care in the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative setting. I deliver this care with the utmost respect for you and your family, incorporating your physical, spiritual, emotional and cultural needs. Anesthesia and surgery are extremely stressful; my goal is alleviating stress by providing competent, calm and compassionate care.

Why I entered medicine

I entered medicine for two reasons: a passion for providing care to those with health needs and a love of science.

Community involvement

I am involved in Dream Ministries, which provides medical care in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, distributing medications for chronic diseases and performing surgeries. While there I provided anesthesia for patients of all ages, while supporting their friends and family members. I love community service and I receive so much joy from the island community.

Personal interests

I enjoy exploring new areas and different cuisines in all kinds of settings, whether countryside or city. I always eat where the locals eat and learn so much about the locale and culture. I also enjoy spending free time camping, reading, cooking and playing the piano.
