About
Philosophy of care
I am passionate about helping people improve their quality of life. Whether you are dealing with a nagging issue or a traumatic event, my goal is to address your concerns so together we can tailor a treatment plan fitting your specific goals and needs. To accomplish this, I take the time to listen to your concerns and understand your unique situation. I also employ the most up-to-date treatment strategies. Open and honest communication is essential to a strong patient-doctor relationship, and I pride myself on explaining your condition in clear, understandable terms. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have. Once we implement your plan, I will be with you every step of the way, from your initial consultation through your recovery.
Why I entered medicine
I was drawn to the field of hand and upper extremity surgery because of the breadth of knowledge required to treat a wide range of conditions in people of all ages. I also enjoy the high level of precision and attention to detail required during these surgeries. The hands and wrists are complex structures that play a crucial role in daily life, and treating injuries and disorders in these areas can have a significant impact on a patient's quality of life. I enjoy helping people return to the activities they love.
Community involvement
I have been involved in medical student and resident training and education, and I aspire to become a mentor to future doctors with similar interests.
Personal interests
I love spending time with my wife and son, especially outdoors. As a former collegiate track athlete, I enjoy running and exercising. I am a passionate sports fan; basketball is my favorite to watch. Other interests include automotive restoration, boating, fishing, architecture and traveling.
