About

Philosophy of care

My philosophy follows the wisdom of Edward Livingston Trudeau, founder of a tuberculosis sanitarium in New York’s Adirondacks: “To cure sometimes, to relieve often, to comfort always.”

Why I entered medicine

"The proper study of mankind is man." I discovered the writings of Alexander Pope as a junior in high school, and it had a profound effect on my career choice.

Community involvement

I volunteer as a poll worker on Election Day. I also am interested and involved in community level ecology and in environmental issues having to do with our township and region.

Personal interests

I enjoy reading, gardening, skiing and sailing in my free time.
