About

Philosophy of care

I have been caring for patients over 25 years. The central theme of my care is treating you (and every patient) with the utmost respect. We will make decisions together and I will treat you as if you are a member of my own family. I will use my expertise to explain all the particulars of your diagnosis and treatment options so that you can best make informed decisions for yourself.

Why I entered medicine

I decided to pursue a career in medicine at age 13 when my 11-year-old brother was hospitalized with a severe spinal infection. I never waivered in that decision, and found as I went through the process that I thoroughly enjoy helping others, finding ways to solve their problems and being their advocate through medical issues. I enthusiastically enjoy every day doing this type of work.

Community involvement

Since I came to this area in 1995, I have dedicated a substantial portion of my time to the community. I have served leadership roles at the local hospitals for 23 of those 25 years, have always treated everyone regardless of ability to pay, taken care of athletes for many hours on the fields and contributed to numerous local charities. I was honored to be inducted into the Warren County (N.J.) Hall of Fame for my community service.

Personal interests

My main interests are my children. My daughter works for the National Academy of Medicine. She received her master’s degree in Global Health from Duke University. She and I have traveled all over the world and pursue outdoor activities such as helicopter skiing in the Canadian Rockies, hiking Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, bungee jumping and doing a safari in South Africa, ice glacier hiking in Norway, and bar hopping in Copenhagen. My son just got drafted by the Chicago White Sox as a pitcher and I support his endeavors spending many hours on the baseball diamond. Our family has a thirst for exploration, adventures and loving and supporting each other.
