About

Philosophy of care

As a hospitalist, my philosophy revolves around treating each patient holistically, beyond just their medical conditions. This means integrating empathy and compassion into every aspect of patient interactions, so individuals feel valued and understood throughout their hospital stay. Central to this approach is a focus on person-centered care with tailored treatment plans to fit unique needs, values and preferences. Balancing medical expertise with a deep appreciation for the emotional and psychological aspects of illness, I foster collaborative relationships with patients and their families. By upholding ethical principles such as respect for patient autonomy, non-maleficence and fairness, I deliver effective and respectful care, empowering patients to participate in their own health management.

Why I entered medicine

I chose medicine because of a profound desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. From a young age, I was deeply moved by the resilience of individuals facing health challenges and the dedication of health care professionals who supported them through their most vulnerable moments. This early exposure to the impact of compassionate care ignited a passion within me to contribute in a similar way. I am driven by the opportunity to combine scientific knowledge with empathetic patient care, addressing not just the physical aspects of illness but also the emotional and psychological needs of those I treat. The complexity and constant evolution of medicine excites me, offering endless opportunities for learning and growth.

Community involvement

Being involved in community charity work has been a significant and rewarding part of my life. I participate in local initiatives and organizations focused on improving the lives of those in need. It also reinforces my belief in the importance of giving back and staying connected with diverse groups within my community.

Personal interests

Cooking is a passion of mine that allows me to experiment with flavors and techniques. Besides that, I love travel that exposes me to new cultures and experiences. It enhances my adaptability and broadens my understanding of global health issues, enriching my approach to patient care.
