About

Philosophy of care

I believe in every person there exists a prime version of themselves. It can take a lifetime for that individual to fully emerge, forged by a full life and tempered by its challenges, but every day we either move closer to cracking the chrysalis or away from doing it. In the theater of health care, we as practitioners often find patients either stalled in their growth as a person or failing outright. Though our primary purpose is to treat the disease that ails those in our care, I believe that is only the first step. My goal is to empower and educate you with every touch, every technique, every word of instruction or advice to take that next step toward your complete self.

Why I entered medicine

The union of empathic communication, clinical acumen and real-time critical thinking is a good fit for my disposition and proficiencies. My aim is to help others and empower them to help themselves.

Community involvement

I have been a part of multiple medical missions to Honduras and Haiti, providing pro-bono medical and surgical care to indigent populations. I work regularly with men and women in rehabilitation centers for drug and alcohol addiction.

Personal interests

Outside of work I enjoy exercising, surfing and skiing. I like watching movies, reading, writing and food. I play and listen to music.
