About
Philosophy of care
My philosophy involves a patient- and family-centered approach. I try my best to actively involve patients in their care planning. I listen and incorporate family values while focusing on shared decision-making. I enjoy getting to know my patients and making their experience in the hospital enjoyable.
Why I entered medicine
I became a pediatrician in part to help provide a voice for young patients. I want to help teach my patients and their parents how to advocate for themselves, while I provide care during some of the most difficult times of their lives. Hopefully, I can add a little bit of laughter and hope to their day as well.
Community involvement
I enjoy being surrounded by community and like to participate at local vaccine drives and food pantries as well as fundraisers for the local pediatric oncology group.
Personal interests
I enjoy pending time with my daughter and family, interior decorating, hiking and eating ice cream!
