About
Philosophy of care
My philosophy is rooted in a passion for person-centered care and respect for the uniqueness of every patient at all stages of life. I provide care that encompasses the whole person; I love learning about your interests and loved ones. I am committed to investing time to understand your concerns and collaborating to optimize your health and quality of life. I am invested in working with families caring for adult children with disabilities and providing for their complex medical, social and mental health needs.
Why I entered medicine
I began my career as a registered nurse in maternal child health and discovered a passion for teaching new families to care for their newborns. As a nurse practitioner for over 25 years, I blended my passion for clinical care of families with my love for education by teaching nursing at a regional university before coming to LVHN. I am excited to return full time to clinical practice and provide patients and their loved ones with the tools they need to optimize their health and wellness.
Community involvement
I am a member of The Arc of Lehigh & Northampton Counties and enjoy volunteering with my faith community. I am an active member of a regional national ladies’ charity; each year our group hosts a major fundraiser for a child with serious medical conditions.
Personal interests
I love living and working in the beautiful Lehigh Valley! My hobbies include nature photography, kayaking and fishing. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and our Labrador.
