About

Philosophy of care

I believe you and your family are different, with your own unique needs; and caring for you with respect, dignity and compassion is imperative. I also believe teamwork is essential to achieving excellent patient care and positive results in the emergency department. My goal is to not only communicate effectively with my team members, but to also focus on communicating with you, being sensitive to your overall needs and concerns as well as your immediate medical problems.

Why I entered medicine

Early in my college years I found an interest in the health sciences. I also learned I had a passion for learning and solving difficult problems. Medicine affords me the opportunity to continue my passion of learning by staying up to date in an evolving field like medicine. I also entered the field of medicine to help reduce health care disparities in underserved communities in the U.S. and in underdeveloped countries aboard.

Community involvement

I participated in a pre-med and pre-law mentorship program and education.

Personal interests

I enjoy teaching students, long-distance running, wildlife photography and illustrating human anatomy.
