Philosophy of care

My philosophy as a nurse practitioner is to focus on the patient as an individual during each visit. Doing so involves adequate communication, collaboration and compassion. As my patient, it is important you have a voice in your medical decisions and are educated on your plan of care. You will be treated with respect, dignity and equality.

Why I entered medicine

From a young age, I wanted to work in the medical field and help others achieve their health/wellness goals, and to participate in lifelong learning. Nursing has proved to be a challenging and rewarding profession, allowing me to make a difference in the lives of others.

Community involvement

I have volunteered at LVHN flu clinics. I am also a volunteer assistant coach with a local high school softball team.

Personal interests

I enjoy coaching and playing softball, spending time with my family/friends and relaxing on the beach.
