Philosophy of care
I deliver personalized and comprehensive eye care, combining advanced diagnostic techniques with a compassionate approach. My focus is on educating you, addressing your visual needs and promoting overall eye health through evidence-based practices and holistic care.
Why I entered medicine
My father worked for an organization overseeing several eye hospitals, providing me a clear understanding of optometry’s role in restoring vision. I was particularly interested in how specialty lenses manage advanced corneal issues and provide life-changing solutions. Despite my father’s encouragement to pursue ophthalmology, I was more interested in the non-surgical, patient-centered approach of optometry. I worked in top eye care centers in India and Nepal before coming to the U.S.
Community involvement
I have extensive involvement in community eye care, particularly in rural settings. My overseas experience included research in community medicine and tele-ophthalmology, allowing me to explore innovative ways to extend eye care to underserved populations. This hands-on experience has greatly shaped my approach to optometry and reinforced my commitment to public health. I was proud to be one of the organizers for Nepal’s first-ever optometry conference, and I co-founded a Facebook page to raise awareness about optometry and eye care. These efforts have been integral in expanding the reach of optometry and improving eye care access in Nepal and India.
Personal interests
I love traveling, exploring new places, cooking and baking. I enjoy time with my family and practicing meditation to maintain balance.
